Our Mission
We are all about our neighborhood.
There is a grand tradition in the Belgian brewing industry of supporting the community. Trappist monasteries are only allowed to keep the money they need to run the brewery and provide for the most basic needs of the monks and then donate the rest of the proceeds to charity. We are not Trappist monks (reportedly the most strict religious order in the Catholic church), but we do want to respect that impulse.
We believe that the soul of a community is its children. And since the best way to support children is to invest in their education, we focus our charitable efforts on our community schools: Grant, Old Town Academy, and St. Vincent’s. In addition to donating a percentage of our profits, we support our schools with donations for their fundraising galas of product, gift certificates, and brewing experiences for their auctions.
We also love our summer concert series in Pioneer Park and our awesome annual Fourth of July celebration. We hope to work with the Mission Hills Town Council to bring back the BBQ competition and firmly believe that it would benefit tremendously from a home-brew competition which we would be happy to organize and manage … stay tuned … .
